Baltimore Ravens Draft Needs 2024

Baltimore Ravens Draft Needs 2024

Interior Offensive Line

The Ravens' offensive line has been a major weakness in recent years, and the interior is a particular area of concern. Kevin Zeitler is a solid veteran, but he's entering the final year of his contract and will be 33 years old next season. Ben Powers is a capable starter, but he's not a long-term solution at left guard. The Ravens need to find a young, talented interior offensive lineman who can help them improve their running game and protect Lamar Jackson.

Some potential draft targets include: Steve Avila (TCU), Olusegun Oluwatimi (Michigan), and Emil Ekiyor Jr. (Alabama).

Edge Rusher

The Ravens have a solid pass rush, but they could use another edge rusher to take some pressure off of Calais Campbell and Justin Houston. Tyus Bowser is a good player, but he's coming off a torn Achilles and may not be the same player he was before the injury. David Ojabo is a talented young pass rusher, but he's still recovering from a torn Achilles as well. The Ravens need to find a young, talented edge rusher who can help them get after the quarterback.

Some potential draft targets include: Nolan Smith (Georgia), Will Anderson Jr. (Alabama), and Derick Hall (Auburn).

Wide Receiver

The Ravens have a talented wide receiver group, but they could use another playmaker to take some pressure off of Mark Andrews. Rashod Bateman is a rising star, but he's coming off a foot injury and may not be ready to start the season. Devin Duvernay is a good slot receiver, but he's not a true number one option. The Ravens need to find a young, talented wide receiver who can help them stretch the field and make big plays.

Some potential draft targets include: Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Ohio State), Marvin Jones Jr. (Georgia), and Kayshon Boutte (LSU).

Cornerback

The Ravens have a solid secondary, but they could use another cornerback to help them match up with some of the top offenses in the NFL. Marlon Humphrey is a Pro Bowl cornerback, but he's coming off a torn ACL and may not be ready to start the season. Marcus Peters is a veteran playmaker, but he's entering the final year of his contract and may not be a long-term solution. The Ravens need to find a young, talented cornerback who can help them lock down opposing receivers.

Some potential draft targets include: Devon Witherspoon (Illinois), Christian Gonzalez (Colorado), and Eli Ricks (LSU).
