Defending champion Novak Djokovic showed his supreme powers of recovery once again to come through a five-set marathon against Francisco Cerundolo and reach the French Open quarterfinals.

Cerundolo, the 25-year-old Argentine, played with great determination and skill, pushing Djokovic to the limit in a match that lasted over three hours. Cerundolo won the first set and broke Djokovic's serve in the second, but the Serbian fought back to win the next three sets and secure the victory.

Djokovic's Resilience

Djokovic has now won 24 consecutive matches at Roland Garros and is aiming for his third consecutive French Open title. The victory over Cerundolo was his 103rd at the tournament, making him the most successful male player in French Open history.
